The eastern shore
The eastern shore of the Continent of Earandel is perhaps one of the most dangerous areas on the continent. Seen here from an altitude of 20,000 ft, you can see the hundred miles or so of wet desert before getting to the shore. Waves of 500 ft are not uncommon, and a 2,300 ft wave is the highest recorded.
Wildlife in the region consists mostly of standard marine life, with the notable addition of the non corporeal “Ghost Crabs”. These creatures cannot be killed by any non-magical means, and they are incredibly deadly. They stand 5-7 ft tall, and their proportions are similar to most other crabs.
These crabs burrow large networks of tunnels beneath the sand, which collapse from time to time. This can be mildly hazardous to people on the surface, but deadly to anyone unfortunate enough to be caught in the tunnels at the time.
There are no settlements on the eastern shore, as the elves have the southern coasts which are much calmer. The dwarves have the northern coasts, and the lizard folk have their swampy inlets to the southwest.
