Giant Era (Prior to 10,000 BF)
Not much is known of the earliest days of Earendel, when the giants reigned supreme on the land. What is known is that the Giants had a Great War with the Dragons, the Giant-Dragon War, which lasted no fewer than 600 years. The result of this war was the extinction of dragons, and a sudden shift in culture for the Giants.
The giants had a great city, original name unknown, but called Patagon City today, situated high in the mountains. Its architecture surpassed even elven and dwarven work, and their methods of construction are unknown. The city was long abandoned by the time of the arrival of theElves (Which formed Aranyëquendërumë), and the dwarves (Which formed the Great Dwarven Empire. When these groups arrived, they were already living their nomadic lives on the plains, with their numbers dwindling over the centuries. Today, there are less than 10,000 giants still alive.
